
Dr. Wahaj Ahmed, a Diplomate of the American Board of Sleep Medicine,
is the medical director of Valley Oximetry Sleep Disorder Center.
Dr. Ahmed has extensive training and experience in pulmonary medicine
and the treatment and diagnosis of sleep disorders. After
obtaining his MD degree from Osmania University in India, Dr. Ahmed
completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University
of Medicine in New Jersey. He subsequently completed a Fellowship
in Pulmonary Medicine at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn,
New York. Dr. Ahmed then went on to Fellowship training in
Critical Care Medicine at the University of Medicine in Albuquerque,
New Mexico. Since 2001, he has practiced medicine in the
East Valley, becoming board certified in sleep through the American
Academy of Sleep Medicine, while serving as the section chief of
Pulmonary Medicine at Banner Desert Medical Center and adjunct
professor of Medicine at Midwestern University.
Presently, Dr. Ahmed is Board certified in Internal, Pulmonary,
and Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. His practice encompasses
all aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary medicine
and sleep disorders.
